Doc Rick (00:04):
Hey, now Doc, Rick here with a Start With Your Feet health tip. When I evaluate a shoe, the first thing that I am going to do is going to feel behind the heel of the shoe and make sure it is firm. So what I want to know is what is the deal with all of these shoes out there that have flimsy heel counters? So the heel counter is that part of the shoe that's behind the heel and it needs to be firm, no matter what foot type that you have. So please squeeze the lower heel portion of any shoe that you're considering wearing or buying and do not wear any shoe that the back of the heel is flimsy. You'll be doing yourself and your feet, a big favor. Until next time, keep on walking and running strong.
