Hey, now doc, Rick here with a quick Start With Your Feet, health tip. Today I want to compare long distance walking to long distance running as to which is better for you. I believe that long distance walking is better than long distance running, mainly because you're not going to have the wear and tear on your lower extremity and also the lack of wearing down your body that running can do. So I believe in high intensity interval training as your main form of aerobic exercise, but if you desire to walk afterwards and you have time, well, then by all means, I prefer a long distance walk for a half an hour versus a long distance run. Of course you want to make sure you have your orthotics in when you do it. But that to me is a better situation for your health. Until next time, keep on walking and running strong.
