Doc Rick (00:04):

Hey now, Doc Rick here with a Start With Your Feet health tip. Today I want to put in very simple terms the reason why HIIT, high intensity interval training, is better for you than long distance running. Put very simply, it all comes down to that HIIT, builds your body up by increasing the speed at the end of the workout, which only takes 10 to 12 minutes. You are building your body up, whereas long distance running, wears your body down. It's going to create overuse injuries and physiologically it actually wears your organs down. The best bang for your buck for the quickest amount of time and for your health, choose HIIT over long distance running. Until next time, keep on walking and running strong.
